Manic was appointed to work on the new property’s naming, branding and identity, as well as the design of all hotel collaterals and amenities. In adopting a Middle Eastern motif, our design for the hotel’s identity reflects the area’s rich cultural and social history, recognising the contextual importance of the hotel’s location.
Additionally, we art directed an extensive photo shoot of the hotel and rooms, and also designed and developed the hotel’s website.
Trying to maintain cohesion across all the collateral was challenging. The number of items we had to produce meant that we had to source for other printers and production companies to handle the items that were not paper: banners, pens and pencils, leather folders etc. Large quantity items like the envelopes were sent to a company that specialised in them. Trying to match colours across the different production companies was a bit of a nightmare. The only solution was round after round of meticulous proofs and checking.
